Crowley tooling systems typically replace older style solid and carbide tipped
tooling for automatic screw machines (Acme Gridley, Davenport, Euroturn,
Hydromat, etc.) , but we have the capability to make most any form tool
insertable. The component based nature of the system allows for a wider
range of options such as materials, coatings, and clearance angles and also
makes for extremely quick tool changes. The system also accommodates "Zero
Movement" tooling (Datum Line Tooling) setups which further decreases time
between setups, a sure way to increase productivity in the ever changing
requirements in today's world of manufacturing.
